This short clip started as a very technical workshop for dynamic controllers on Cinema 4D, and that became the excuse for developing a visual gag depicting the creation of a wooden toy.

After the initial experimentation, things just got out of hand. The technical workshop suddenly became a short narrative aimed at subverting expectations. What appears to be a simple rendering showcase transforms into a gag and the spring is no longer the protagonist and instead becomes one of the parts of a wooden toy.
I’m hoping this isn’t the last we see from the Toy Dog Driver.
